Riverside Sunderland
Riverside Sunderland is a visionary 15-year transformation plan for the city centre, creating a new mixed-use urban quarter on both sides of the River Wear. Creative Space Management have been involved from the earliest of stages.
Creative Space Management has been a trusted partner of Sunderland City Council since 2014, playing an early role in key projects for Riverside Sunderland.
Creative Space Management’s early appointments were focused on stimulating workspace projects to rejuvenate the city core. The successful completion of a £20m, six-storey office block, The Beam, offering 5,520sm of grade-A office space, was a landmark achievement. Creative Space’s branding efforts celebrated the city’s heritage and helped to earn The Beam the prestigious BCO Award for ‘Best Workplace Building’ in the North.
Creative Space was subsequently appointed to develop a management strategy for a new multi-tenanted City Hall building and entrusted to devise an estate management strategy and long-term placemaking plan for the wider Riverside estate.
