Relish Research

Relish Research chose the Round Foundry Media Centre for its first base outside London in April 2012 and, within a year, moved again into larger offices, thanks to a series of new client wins which resulted in two new staff joining the team.

The now four-strong team, headed up by Research Director, Rich Brown and Head of Quant Research, Louisa Carey-Brown is based full-time at the Media Centre. The company specialises in delivering qualitative research projects – focus groups and in depth one-to-one customer interviews – and quantitative research, analysing online customer purchasing behaviour, in-store activity and street surveys. In a competitive retail market in which customer insight is crucial to business success, Relish has delivered research programmes for a number of leading UK brands, keen to pre-empt and respond to the changing needs of their customers. The company counts L’Oreal, Vodafone, Virgin Media, EDF Energy, Asda and SCA Papers among their many clients.

Comments Rich Brown, Account Director: “We provide our clients with fresh thinking based on detailed knowledge of the current market and in depth understanding of customer needs and behaviour. We work side-by-side with our clients, sharing our insight to help them to make informed business decisions that help improve their own brand’s performance.”

Rich and his colleague, Louisa Carey-Brown, originally were based in the company’s flagship London office and both were keen to move away from the Capital. When the opportunity arose to set-up a Leeds office, so that Relish had a base closer to its Northern clients, including Leeds-based Asda, the duo jumped at the chance to set-up and run the new Northern headquarters.

Continues Rich: “Louisa had worked with Finn PR in the past and knew the Media Centre and as soon as the rest of the team saw it we knew it was the perfect place for us. The proximity of the Round Foundry to the city centre, the station and Asda House are hugely important for us, and extra facilities like meeting room space and fast broadband were major factors in our decision to locate here. Being in the Media Centre has been really beneficial for us as the association with the area, which has a reputation as a creative hub for talented companies, has immediately given us additional credibility to new contacts.”

The company hopes to grow its Leeds team to six by the end of the year and will continue to take advantage of the Media Centre’s flexible office space to accommodate its future expansion.
